Website performance optimization

Make your website easier to load—and easier to use.

We investigate the assets, server behavior, and page features that slow down your website. Then we plan improvements around your content, design, and functionality.

RCRTech website project

A clear route from diagnosis to improvement.

Measure the starting point

Review Google PageSpeed Insights and GTmetrix results, including loading speed, layout stability, and resources that hold the page back.

Address the bottlenecks

Optimize images, fonts, caching, CSS, JavaScript, and server settings where appropriate for the website.

Check the visitor experience

Review key pages and interactions across screen sizes, then compare the measured results with the baseline.

Clear benchmarks. Practical progress.

Measure the work.

See what is slowing your website down—and whether the changes make a difference. Use these tools to review loading speed, responsiveness, and layout stability.

Google PageSpeed Insights

Review mobile and desktop performance, Core Web Vitals when available, and opportunities to improve the visitor experience.

GTmetrix

Explore page-load details, resource requests, and a waterfall view to understand where the time goes.

Compare like for like. Use the same pages, device settings, and test conditions. Scores vary between runs, so review trends alongside working forms and the actual visitor experience. Testing tools open in a new tab.

A few useful answers.

What exactly does “performance optimization” involve?

Our performance optimization service includes a comprehensive audit using tools like Google PageSpeed Insights and GTmetrix to identify performance bottlenecks (e.g., server response times, render-blocking resources, large asset sizes).  We then implement tailored strategies including code/asset optimization (minifying HTML/CSS/JS, compressing images), caching and server improvements (HTTP/2, GZIP, CDN), and mobile-specific enhancements (responsive design, AMP where applicable).

What performance scores do you guarantee?

We guarantee achieving a 90+ score on Google PageSpeed Insights for both mobile and desktop devices.

What if I use WordPress or a page-builder plugin? Does that affect the service?

We work with WordPress and page builders. We review their CSS, JavaScript, caching, and plugin behavior as part of the audit and test changes against the existing design and functionality.

Will these optimizations impact the visual design or functionality of my website?

No—our goal is to improve performance without compromising design or core functionality. We optimize behind the scenes (assets, code, server settings) and test across devices and browsers to ensure visual fidelity and functional integrity remain intact.

What if I make major changes or add many new pages after optimization?

That’s covered—especially under our Elite plan which includes automatic cache purges and periodic re-optimization (every 3 days) so new content and pages stay performant.  If you add many new pages, assets, or a new site section, we recommend notifying us so we can ensure the optimization strategy scales accordingly.

How do you measure success and how can I track improvements?

We use benchmark tools like Google PageSpeed Insights and GTmetrix before and after the optimization. You’ll receive performance reports showing metrics such as page load time, first contentful paint, resource sizes, etc. We also provide ongoing monitoring (depending on plan) so you can track improvements over time.

Why is website speed so important?

Fast page load times directly impact user experience (fewer frustrations, fewer drop-offs) and search engine rankings—sites that load quickly tend to rank higher in search results.  Also, improved performance can increase conversions, boost customer satisfaction, and help you maintain a competitive edge.

How long does the optimization process take?

The timeline depends on the scope of your website (number of pages, number of media assets, complexity of platform or site builder). After our audit, we’ll provide an estimated timeline tailored to your site. For smaller sites, improvements can often be seen within days; for larger, more complex sites, it may take longer.

Do I need to upgrade my hosting before doing optimization?

Not always—but sometimes hosting or server configuration is a major bottleneck. As part of our audit we check server and hosting performance (response time, HTTP/2, CDN integration, etc.).  If your hosting environment is limiting performance, we’ll advise on necessary enhancements or a better plan.

What are the differences between your “Pro” and “Elite” plans?

Pro Plan: Weekly re-optimization, page-caching, font conversion to WOFF2, CSS/asset optimization, image optimization up to ~1,000 images, and custom optimization for up to 10 pages.

Elite Plan: Re-optimization every 3 days, caching + font conversion, dynamic CSS calculation, detailed performance reports, image optimization up to ~5,000 images, custom page optimization up to ~30 pages, automatic cache purge on updates, page-builder support, and guaranteed 90+ performance score.

What if I make major changes or add many new pages after optimization?

TThat’s covered—especially under our Elite plan which includes automatic cache purges and periodic re-optimization (every 3 days) so new content and pages stay performant.  If you add many new pages, assets, or a new site section, we recommend notifying us so we can ensure the optimization strategy scales accordingly.
